Ocean State Ultra Course Info
The Course
The scenic course of Ocean State Ultra takes you through the breathtaking landscapes of West Greenwich, RI. The course has been updated since 2025, runners will now repeat a full 10 mile loop (there will be no out and back section). The course consists of 1.5 miles of desert, 1 mile of pavement, and 7.5 miles of trails through Big River Management Area. The trail is relatively flat with an elevation gain of 394 ft per loop and minimally technical terrain.

Trails
The majority of the 10 mile loop will take place on the trails through Big River Management Area. The trails are mostly wide and flat, with the return part of the loop having more narrow trails and sections of rolling hills.
